Policies required for 501(c)3 tax-exemption status

Compensation Policy A small part of this policy regards reimbursement for personal expenses incurred on behalf of the corporation. The rest regards IRS 501(c)3 issues with employment by charities. Our By-Laws don't allow compensation of officers or directors for their services. While the By-Laws don't restrict us from hiring employees, we don't currently allow hiring employees by this policy. If/when this policy is amended to allow hiring employees, it already has the employment-related conditions to keep us in compliance for our 501(c)3 status. 12K OpenOffice

Conflict of Interest Policy This policy is almost verbatim from the IRS's sample Conflict of Interest Policy, except for a modification to allow our officers and directors to electronically acknowledge reciept of copies of it. 13K OpenOffice
